Swara Mountain Arts Festival from 11th - 15th April 2023

We are super excited to share with you about the second edition of Swara Mountain Arts Festival from 11th - 15th April 2023 at Jagori Rural's campus in Rakkar, Dharamshala!

The five-day festival, to be held from April 11th to April 15th, 2023, aims to create the joy of music, dance and theatre for artistic uprising and overall well-being of the self & the planet.  

Curated by Jagori Rural & OBR India, Swara Mountain Arts Festival is a combination of residential art workshops, nature explorations, sound & movement meditations, immersive evening celebrations, and a platform to explore local community food, art & culture, all in the lap of the Himalayas.  

This year, we are celebrating "Inclusivity and Creativity of Multiple Identities" through a series of workshops, open gate evenings and public performances by distinguished artists from all over India, with experience of working with marginalized, those with special abilities and of diverse identities.

The festival is inclusive of three parallel workshops on different art forms of creative expression including playing with multiple identities through storytelling, theatre workshop - discovering the actor within and music workshop.  On 15th April, the last day of the festival, there will be finale public performances by none other than Aditi Mangaldas, a renowned dancer and Shabnam Virmani, a highly acclaimed Kabir singer in the main city of McLeod Ganj and open to participants as well as wider audience for a mesmerising evening.

The festival brings together –

·        Residential art workshops in theatre, music & dance by distinguished artists from special backgrounds themselves

·        Open gate evenings/live performances

·        Immersion in the scenic beauty of Himalayas

·        Finale Public Performances by Aditi Mangaldas & Shabnam Virmani

The festival package price is Rs 15, 000 for five days. This includes workshop participation, stay at the amazing Jagori Rural campus, healthy vegetarian meals and also the finale performances in McLeod Ganj.

Early bird registration is till March 15^th, 2023 at Rs 12, 500.
