ITINERERY
The tour begins with a pick-up from the Jammu railway station and proceeds to
Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. Here is a detailed breakdown of
the itinerary:
Day 1: Jammu to Srinagar travel
On the first day, the tour group will be picked up at the Jammu railway station and
will proceed to Srinagar. The journey to Srinagar will take the group through three
beautiful Chinani Tunnels and offer a view of Trikuta Hills, Nashr Tunnels, Rambam,
and Panthal crossing. After crossing the Banihal tunnel, the group will reach the
beautiful valley of Kashmir. The day will end with dinner and an overnight stay at a
hotel in Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar Local site seeing
The second day of the tour is dedicated to local sightseeing in Srinagar. After breakfast,
the group will visit some of the most famous tourist attractions in the city, including
the Shankaracharya temple, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, Nishat Garden, and Shalimar
Garden. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the hotel in Srinagar.
Day 3: Srinagar to Gulmarg and return to Srinagar
On the third day, the group will leave for Gulmarg after breakfast, visiting apple orchards
on the way. Once in Gulmarg, the group will go for a Gondola ride, exploring upper reaches
of Kongdori, Affarwath, and Strawberry Valley by horse riding or ETV cars. Local sightseeing
in Gulmarg includes the golf course and Gulmarg club. The group will then return to
Srinagar for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Srinagar to Sonmarg and return to Srinagar
On the fourth day, the group will leave for Sonmarg after breakfast, visiting Mammar
Fishing Farm, Wayul Water Stream, and Ganderbal Waterfall on the way. Once in
Sonmarg, the group will visit the Fishing Lake, Zero Point, and Thajwas Glacier, and
enjoy sledge and lots of snow activities by local transport and pony rides.
After returning to Srinagar, the group will check-in to a deluxe houseboat in front of
Dal Lake, and enjoy a shikara ride to Golden Lake, Floating Garden, Nehru Park,
Meena Bazar, Floating Market, and Kabootar Khana.
Day 5: Srinagar to Pahalgam- stay
After breakfast and head towards Pahalgam, a scenic hill station located about 95 km away.
On the way, you will visit the saffron fields, where you can see how the world-famous
Kashmiri saffron is grown and harvested. You will also visit the Awantipora temple ruins,
which date back to the 8th century and are an important archaeological site.
Next, you will visit a bat factory, where you can see how the famous Kashmiri bats are
made. These bats are used for playing cricket and are known for their unique shape and
quality.
After reaching Pahalgam, you will check into your hotel and freshen up. Then, you will
proceed to Baisaran, which is also known as mini Switzerland due to its stunning natural
beauty. You will reach Baisaran on a pony ride and can enjoy the picturesque surroundings
and participate in fun activities like zip lining.
After a day full of adventure, you will return to your hotel in Pahalgam for dinner and a
night's stay.
Day 6: Pahalgam Local site seeing
After breakfast, you will go for local sightseeing in Pahalgam. You will visit the
famous Betab Valley, which has been featured in several Bollywood movies and is known
for its picturesque surroundings. Next, you will proceed to Chandanwari, which is the
starting point of the Amarnath Yatra and offers stunning views of the mountains.
You can also visit Aru Valley, which is famous for its scenic beauty and is a popular spot
for trekking and camping. You can take a union taxi to visit these places.
In addition, you can also visit the Pahalgam Zoo, which is home to several species of
animals and birds. You can also visit the Pahalgam Club, which offers several recreational activities like golf, billiards, and tennis.
In the evening, you can explore the local market and try some local delicacies. After a day
full of sightseeing, you will return to your hotel in Pahalgam for dinner and a night's stay.
Day 7: Pahalgam to Jammu travel
After breakfast you will check out of your hotel in Pahalgam and proceed towards Jammu,
which is about 285 km away. Upon reaching Jammu, you will check into your hotel for the
night.
Day 8: Departure- railway station drop
After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and proceed towards Jammu railway station
for your departure. This marks the end of your wonderful trip to Kashmir with beautiful memories to cherish for a lifetime.
