RASIKA presents Bollywood’s most popular and iconic diva singer Shreya Ghosal Live in her first ever appearance in Portland, OR! This is her only concert in the West Coast on this tour. Rasika thanks the national tour organizers, Shreya and the entire team for their loving gesture to perform for Rasika in our 25th performing art season! *Please arrive by 6:30pm, we expect Full house.
Rasika is a federal tax-exempt non-profit organization founded with a mission to promote the classical performing arts of India in the State of Oregon. From humble roots of being a small 25k organization, the organization has grown into a ‘prominent world music promoter’ (Willamette Week) over the past years receiving ‘Arts in the Community Award’, and NEA ‘Coming Up Taller’ nomination. Rasika’s educational and outreach efforts has expanded to include the Rasika School of Music and Arts offering classes in classical Carnatic music (vocal, violin, flute) by resident artists/teachers.

Shreya Ghoshal is one of India’s most popular and versatile singers. She is known for her charisma and has won numerous awards and honors. She has received four National Film Awards, seven Filmfare Awards including six for Best Female Playback Singer, nine Filmfare Awards South, three Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and many other awards. Best known as a playback singer in Hindi films, she has also performed several songs for other Indian film industries such as Assamese, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, and Tamil songs. The famed songstress is sure to sing with the passion and charisma her audiences have come to know and love as she performs her collection of hits in this most highly anticipated concert of this decade!
